Students, who showed their talent in sport:
High School Volleyball Tournament - Boys Class IX on 11/29/2008
Our boys ranked first in an unusual competition.The event took place in sports hall “Ivan Handzhiev”. A cup was given to the winners, and the other participants won prizes and certificates.

National championships in swimming
Team PGIU “Elias Canetti” ranked second in Bulgaria.
In the final swimming competitions of  “Students’ Games 2008”  the school relay team won a bronze medal in 4 x 50 m medley.
Ivaylo Yankov Individual - Class X won the gold medal in the 50 metres butterfly.
National Championship - Athletics
TEODOR PENCHEV - 11 CLASS D Winner of 3 bronze medals
National Championship in Hall -  9-10.02.2008 on - SOFIA
  Flat race 60 meters - 7.21 s. - III M.
  Long jump - 6.47 m. - III M.
Outdoor National Championship
On 21-22.06.2008 - SOFIA
Long jump - 6.60 m. - III M.
National Championship Basketball
Miroslav Bogdanov - IX class, a competitor  to a sports basketball club “Danube” – Ruse.he is also a competitor of the youth team of Bulgaria.

Girls PGIU “Elias Canetti” ranked first and were awarded a cup!
Boys are also winners and were awarded a cup.
National Championship Table Tennis
In the state championship for adolescents under 15 years for 2008 Pavel Tzolov finished third individually and second in the team ranking.
Pavel is a competitor of the sporting club table tennis  and a national competitor of Bulgaria for adolescents under 15 years.
