Outstanding students in the field “economics”

Competitions

1. Accounting
   - Round-school – 42 students participated in the competition.
   - Regional round in Lovech - high school was represented by Tanya Mihova class XII “D” and Milena Dimcheva  class XII”A”, who were classified in Xth and XIth place.
2. Economics
   - Round-school -  20 students from Class XII participated in the competition.
   - Regional Round- two students participated in Pleven.
   - National round in Svishtov - one  student presented the high school and was awarded a diploma  by the Minister of Education and Science Daniel Valtchev.
   
3. The Bulgarian competition "Young Economist",organized by the union of economists, our school was represented by 28 students with 14 reports.

Our students received 15diplomas  and 3 honorary diplomas in the completion.

Kremena Yordanova, Adelina Krasimirova and Zornitsa Kaneva from Class XI won a prize money.

"National Day of key competence of initiative and entrepreneurship" held on 27 - 28 March 2008 at thefestival complex in Varna.Students from 28 districts of the countryparticipated in this event. Georgi Vasilev student of XII Class PGIU “ Elias Canetti” ranked second in the development of a business project for a company for services.

International Fair of Educational Training Company ” TF FESTIVAL PLOVDIV” - 14 15.03.2008g.

International Fair of ETC, held in March in Plovdiv our School was presented by students of grade XII.

A National Competition "Ability to work" on a joint project British Council Junior Achievement Bulgaria in cooperation with MOMN held in Sofia on 20 November 2009.

The challenge towards the young entrepreneurs was the case on "Skills for the XXI Century", which was asked by the race sponsor Microsoft.
Twenty-two students from PGIU “Elias Canetti” submitted their ideas, but only three were approved for  the National competition. Hristiana Popova -Xv class Darina Blagoeva -Xg class and Marcella Andreeva XIe  class under the leadership of E. Doncheva and Pl. Katsarova,  presented  themselves as worthy young entrepreneurs and defended their ideas to the jury.

Municipality of Ruse and Industrial Chamber of Commerce presented the joint project "generator of ideas" from September 25 to December 3, 2009 in Ruse.

The challenge towards the young entrepreneurs was to create a new enterprise and develop a business plan that lead the activity of the company.
Twenty students from 5 school were divided into 3 groups. They participated  in the project "Generator of ideas”. Among 25 applicants from PGIU “Elias Canetti”, five of them were approved, on the bases of submitted cover letters:

Ms Pl. Katsarova, D. Tsoneva and R.Racheva worked as consultants, to help these students
First ranked the project “General School Sports Base for Amateurs”, which was attended by Valentin Yordanov Georgiev and Janica Valentinova Ivanova

Anna Pavlova and Petya Dimitrova-class XIIa presented our school in the National Olympiad of History and Civilization.

The competition “The spirit of Bulgarian” held in Silistra on 1 November,2008.
